"Mud"

“Mud”

We hopped on Dad’s trailer. The track to the DOC hut was really muddy and bumpy.

On the way down we all stopped and walked down to the river to examine some amazing fossils. The boulders were embedded with fossils, they would have been about 2 million years old. We took some photos, then we climbed up the hill onto the track. We hopped onto the farm bikes and kept travelling.

Soon we had to cross a ford, it was a MISSION! Dad rode across the ford first on his farm bike with the trailer. He got across with Mum’s help. She kept bumping him up the bank. Then Mr. Masters and Mr. Alexander followed and helped shunt each other. We crossed OK with mud flying everywhere.

When we finally reached the hut, we unpacked and set off for a walk up the creek.

Hi Sarah
They were great pictures you took on your camp at the DOC hut - after watching your powerpoint i could tell it was a real mission - but well worth it. Have you finished making the pictures you started the other day - maybe a mouse will help you along a lot more. Put them on your blog when you've finished i'd like to see them. :-)
